GrainGrowers has worked hard on its submission to the APVMA on paraquat and diquat. The submission emphasises the impact to industry and growers, it includes data from GrainGrowers' recent survey which received over 1,000 responses. A summary of survey results will be shared shortly, GrainGrowers will continue to keep members informed and work hard to convey grower concerns on this critical issue. #AusAg

Representatives from across Australia's agriculture and fuel supply chain have urged the Federal Government to immediately initiate a national low-carbon liquid fuel feedstock strategy to give effect to the ambitious agenda outlined in the Federal Government Aviation White Paper released this week. The industry groups include @GrainGrowers, the @sugarcouncil and @CANEGROWERS #ausag The call by the industry groups for a national strategy recognises the need for government leadership to ensure Australia can provide a sustainable, consistent supply of raw materials necessary for producing low-carbon fuels. In addition to significant upright storage & 20kt of bunker capacity @samheagney has a 5500t (wheat) WRL dual-end opening sealable shed which can be fumigated. With multi purpose functionality it was being used for cotton seed & urea storage when I dropped in this week. @theGRDC
