The unfair attacks on Xavier Becerra demand a response. I was a Deputy Attorney General when Xavier Becerra served as California’s Attorney General. And I worked alongside him when I was Planned Parenthood’s General Counsel.     As AG, Xavier created a unit entirely focused on healthcare rights and access as he went toe-to-toe with the Trump Administration to protect Californians.   When I volunteered at the border to help reunite mothers with their caged children, Xavier Becerra went to court and successfully challenged Trump’s cruel policies.   The portrayal of Xavier Becerra in negative ads is false.  The real Xavier Becerra is smart, strategic, and strong.

When Hitler died (of natural causes) the German people removed his name from every building, monument, and roadway in the country. America will do the same with Donald Trump.

Having edited the infamous Pete's-taking-paternity leave story back at POLITICO, it's been interesting to see the reaction (or lack thereof) to Duffy taking a extended roadtrip over 7 months with his fam.

At this point, @MattMahanSJ & @katieporterca should drop out and endorse someone … they have one little moment of influence right now to deploy, if they waste it and let that moment pass, it’ll be a massive political mistake.

The same Duffys who threw endless fits on national television when Pete was working from our son's ICU bedside are now bragging about their multi-month, taxpayer-funded family road trip while gas and grocery prices soar for American families because of Trump's war of choice. How much more unfocused, unserious, and out of touch can you be?

I love a good road trip, but this is brutally out of touch: a Trump Cabinet member making a documentary about himself while regular families can’t afford road trips anymore, because Trump and his war put gas prices through the roof.
