The Detroit Lions’ 13 combined selections in the 2024 and 2025 NFL Drafts are tied for the second fewest in the NFL over that span (fewest: Minnesota Vikings with 12). Detroit is currently slated to have nine picks in the 2026 NFL Draft — with just two inside the Top 110. Notably, the Lions have never made more than eight selections in a single draft under Brad Holmes. They’re one of only three teams (along with the Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers) without a single draft since 2021 featuring more than eight selections. Holmes’ tendency to trade up will be tested in 2026 as he balances that aggressiveness with the need to restock talent across the roster.
