Cover Reveal! It's 1947 and the world is still reeling from the effects of WWII. However, for these mystery women, this is no time to relax. A movie star turned crimefighter - The Cat faces off against unseen enemies in Monaco who seem hell-bent to prevent a movie about a WWII hero from ever being made and an old enemy makes a reappearance. Black Venus, a famous aviatrix, uses her skills to unravel the disappearance of veterans around the country. The search leads from the streets of Washington D.C. to the jungles of French Guiana. Miss Espionage returns to a divided Vienna to face off against the one spy even her mother, Mata Hari, couldn't best - Fraulein Doktor. Three stories, three women, and an unseen web that binds them together to face an even greater threat in this homage to the Golden Age of Comics.

@zenturian2000 @nova_creates20 I already did a short story called The Clockwork Kid, featuring Billy the Kid and Victor Frankenstein. If I work up this Circe story, I’m probably committing myself to doing a Weird Western collection. Just what I need. Another project.

Made it to PenguiCon. Seems like really nice people running the show. Attended the Guest of Honor dinner, and have retreated to the room. I was going to write, but something about driving 8+ hours makes bed look that much better.

@JeffSBrayAuthor Unfortunately a couple of publishers I used to work with went under in the past couple of years. I've got some stuff at other publishers, but no hard dates on when it'll be published. Still hoping to find a home for my MilSF and polishing a story for an agent. Trying all angles.

How did you find your publisher? Or are you still on the hunt?

@stepha_henson Psh. I sold my first short story when I was 39 and my first novel at 45. Age is just a number.

“Why, at your age, do you think you can become some real author?” Not gonna lie guys, that one stung. Yes, a real comment - in real life, not just online …. but to my face. It’s not pretty sometimes when you chase a dream.

@SustainedLeader @ernie_fink Sounds right. One colonel, who will remain nameless was probably 5'4" and his XO (who was universally more liked) was 6'6". I felt like we were being led by a chihuahua that thought it was a pit bull. He was probably a great staff officer, but he made a bad commander. #WriteChat

A1) Hmm.... my non-fiction takes my characters as I find them. Height isn't even one of the survey questions. #WriteChat

@ernie_fink Too many years playing RPGs. You never have enough light sources when you're in a dungeon. After all - It's dark, a Grue might eat you. #WriteChat

@ernie_fink There is the trait theory of leadership that suggests tall is better. Problem is, it’s completely non-predictive dating back to King Saul! #WriteChat

@ernie_fink This would be my Raven on the right. Perrin is on the left. Technically, they're the same person . . . it's magic. #WriteChat
