10th May – On a day when Arsenal edge closer to their first title in 22 years its only right to celebrate the birthday of an Arsenal Legend – Dennis Bergkamp. Starting at Ajax, where he won multiple honours including the Eredivisie and UEFA Cup he then moved to Serie A and Inter Milan. He won the UEFA Cup again but struggled in Italy. He moved to Arsenal in 1995 with a point to prove and was one of the early flock of genuine quality foreign players in the Premier League. He would spend 11 seasons at Arsenal winning 3 Premier Leagues, 3 FA Cups as well as a runner up in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup. At international level he gained 79 caps scoring 37 goals. He is regarded as one of the best players ever for Ajax and Arsenal and his goals back catalogue is a must watch (Argentina World Cup 98 is my personal Favourite)

I'm officially half an Attenborough as it's my fiftieth today! Having a quick pint before heading off to do some singing. Not quite the Albert Hall but will certainly do!

@Ssaasquatch Fascinating. You got me into a bitcoin rabbit hole this morning which ended in me reading the 9-page bitcoin whitepaper. Adam has a brilliant mind.

@taadelodun I visited Durrës last year and did the quad bike tour with a group of friends. Everyone of them was amazed as they took the view in. Absolutely incredible scenery

Albania 4 years ago. Still a hidden gem. Very beautiful country. And you dont need an extra visa after your UK visa, you can go with your UK student visa, Skilled worker visa, even visiting visa. Just book hotel, buy ticket and go relax. Summer is coming, enjoy your hardwork.

@asemota I remember your article from years ago on medium Chief Ibru told you to go and sell fish! That line has never left my mind. Paradoxically, I have replayed that line when taking critical decisions

@Efyakimora Whilst I understand the rationale for such pricing, I am against any form of price discrimination based on nationality. Just make the place affordable for everyone to access irrespective of nationality. Campaigning for different price for African citizens only compunds this

The entrance fee just to see Victoria Falls from the Zambia 🇿🇲 side, no activities included is $20. Every activity costs extra. My honest opinion: tourist sites across Africa should consider special, affordable rates for African citizens, instead of placing us under full international pricing. It would encourage more Africans to travel, explore, and connect with our own continent. Sometimes, the fact that an African has been able to afford the flight ticket is proof enough that they’re willing to learn, experience, and invest in Africa. While we are preaching for borderless Africa, we should consider some of these things too

Any more than four teams from one country in a European competition is an absolute joke really. Uefa have made many bad decisions over the past few years, but that is one of the worst.

@elonmusk “ securing the future of civilization” is a phrase you use a lot. I struggle to get my head around it. Is civilisation in danger of going extinct in the next couple of decades?

For those unaware, SpaceX has already shifted focus to building a self-growing city on the Moon, as we can potentially achieve that in less than 10 years, whereas Mars would take 20+ years. The mission of SpaceX remains the same: extend consciousness and life as we know it to the stars. It is only possible to travel to Mars when the planets align every 26 months (six month trip time), whereas we can launch to the Moon every 10 days (2 day trip time). This means we can iterate much faster to complete a Moon city than a Mars city. That said, SpaceX will also strive to build a Mars city and begin doing so in about 5 to 7 years, but the overriding priority is securing the future of civilization and the Moon is faster.
