I’m just going to use threads. I’ve got about 100 followers on there instead of 25K but 🤷🏼‍♂️ I’m nigeljayauthor on there - haven’t really been using it but going to start because… well, the obvious.

@gemmaEdenham I know! So many people hate it. I kind of get it - but I love a book with turned corners, pencil scribbles in etc. I do draw the line at scribbling in a book with pen and ink tho - that’s a crime.

I couldn’t bear it anymore! We found a bookshop and I bought him a bookmark. No excuse now

@LauraPAuthor I'm still gutted about it. It's such a right wing cess pit on here and I spent years exclusively building this as a platform. I barely use it anymore, but I don't really use the others either. I 'met' such lovely people on here as well - feels like that's so hard to recreate.

I'm so gutted that I've put all my social media effort into building up a Twitter following and now it's all gone to shit and everyone's leaving. I'm too tired to start again somewhere else!

@LauraPAuthor I feel your pain! Am writing a whodunnit, spent a year plotting it (I'm NOT a plotter, first 3 novels very organic). And now it's like all characters refuse to do anything I planned! I even had a set of twins whom I've merged into 1 as they didn't both need to exist!

Today I wrote 3000 words and killed a character I had no intention of killing. I’ll never be a plotter. #amwriting
