Боротьба з торгівлею людьми є одним із постійних пріоритетів в роботі @GP_Ukraine. Лише протягом цього року було виявлено понад 40 постраждалих і зареєстровано 73 кримінальних провадження. Сьогодні, 30 липня, у Всесвітній день боротьби з торгівлею людьми, ми зустрілися з Харшет Вірк, Головою Програмного офісу Управління ООН з наркотиків і злочинності (UNODC) в Україні, щоб обговорити наші спільні зусилля у боротьбі з цією проблемою. Повномасштабна агресія рф ще більше загострила ситуацію у цій сфері. Війна спричинила безпрецедентні потрясіння в українському суспільстві. На жаль, це відкрило нові можливості для торгівлі людьми та інших форм організованої злочинності. Значно зросли ризики для найбільш вразливих груп населення. Досвід UNODC є надзвичайно важливим для ефективного реагування на ці виклики. Ми високо цінуємо наше тривале співробітництво, яке лише зміцнилося після нашої зустрічі з Гадою Валі, Виконавчою директоркою UNODC, в травні цього року. Команда UNODC в Україні підтримує нас у впровадженні підходів, орієнтованих на інтереси потерпілих, та організації спеціалізованого навчання для прокурорів і слідчих. Це допомагає нам застосовувати найкращі світові практики для розслідування цих жахливих злочинів та забезпечення допомоги постраждалим.

The child in the video is a 2-year-old Mykyta, a victim of russia’s attack on Ohmatdyt Children's Hospital. He is also the kid in the photo taken right after the attack. Mykyta is suffering with Lyell syndrome (toxic epidermal necrolysis), a severe skin condition, and because of russian terrorism he and nearly 100 other children have been forced to relocate to another hospital for treatment. Mykyta, an innocent child who has already endured so much, deserved none of this. He and his family were in the hospital when the russian rocket struck. Though injured, they survived, but tragically russia took the lives of 4 other children within seconds that day, injured eight more, and caused immeasurable trauma for hundreds of families. Russians have taken the lives that had barely begun.

For those who claim that "it wasn’t a direct strike". The rocket on the video was not hit by air defenses and was flying straight at the target, which is exactly the Ohmatdyt hospital below it.

Today russia hit "Ohmatdyt" children’s hospital with a rocket. The National Children's Specialized Hospital "Ohmatdyt" is the largest children's hospital in Ukraine, where more than 20,000 children from all over the country are treated every year.
