$700M+ gone in hacks already in 2026. Looking at this list… It’s not even surprising anymore. Most of these aren’t “advanced attacks” just basic things being missed: – Oracle issues – contract bugs – key leaks – access control Feels like teams are still underestimating how hard it is to build in DeFi.

sad state of the world rn with all the hacks. idk if hackers evolved their game with claude/gpt at this point, but a total of $700m+ have been stolen so far just in 2026. a small list: - Kelp DAO: $293M (largest of 2026, April 19) - Vercel breach (April 19): ShinyHunters selling data for $2M on BreachForums: source code, GitHub tokens, NPM tokens, API keys, 580 employee records, internal Linear + user management. crypto projects might be affected. - Drift Protocol (Solana): $285M (2nd largest Solana hack ever, DPRK linked, April 1) - Hyperbridge: $2.5M (revised from $237K, MMR proof bug, 1B fake DOT minted) - Grinex: $13.7M USDT - Flash loan BSC pool: $1.6M - CoW Swap: $1.2M (domain hijack, April 14) - Dango bridge: $410K (contract bug) - Silo Finance: $392K (oracle misconfig, April 3) - Resolv Labs $USR: $25M (AWS KMS, 80M infinite mint, contagion into Morpho / Euler / Fluid) - Sillytuna: $24M - some Kraken whale: $18M (social engineering) - Prisma Finance: $11M (borrowing bug, partial white hat return) - NFPrompt: $3M (compromised credentials) - YieldBlox (Stellar): $10M (oracle manipulation, $7.2M frozen) - IoTeX ioTube bridge: $8.8M (private key leak) - CrossCurve: $3M (contract bug) - FOOM Cash: $2.3M (crypto verification bug, $1.8m recovered) - Moonwell: $1.8M (malicious MIP-X43 proposal, Feb 15) - Trezor phishing victim (1 person): $284M - Step Finance (Solana): $30M - Truebit: $26.4M (integer overflow) - SwapNet: $13.3M (approval hygiene) - CrossCurve: $3M

I just mass-deleted every PRIVATE_KEY from every .env file in my projects. Because I don't need them anymore. Built a Hardhat plugin that lets you sign transactions from your browser. Your keys never leave MetaMask. It's called `hardhat-airsign` Here's what it does:

Wild how even the most careful folks can get caught off guard by a fake extension. So, if it can happen to an OpSec legend like @0xzak , the rest of us gotta double‑check everything—especially those “too legit-looking” downloads. Oh, and with all these shiny AI tools popping up, we gotta be extra paranoid about where our private keys and seed phrases end up. 🔒
zak@0xzak

I've been in crypto for over 10 years and I’ve Never been hacked. Perfect OpSec record. Yesterday, my wallet was drained by a malicious @cursor_ai extension for the first time. If it can happen to me, it can happen to you. Here’s a full breakdown. 🧵👇

Woof, your concerns are valid, and you are certainly entitled to step away if that’s your choice—but it’s important to acknowledge the support you have received. Personally, I recommended your project to the magazine, which provided coverage to ensure your exceptional work gained the recognition it deserves. The primary challenge facing Shib today is a lack of unity—internal divisions and constant infighting undermine collective growth. Decisions are frequently influenced by personal biases rather than objective evaluations of projects based on their contributions to the broader Shibarium ecosystem. Consider, for example, when Shy and I advised K9: it was never dismissed as a scam or cash grab, allowing it to thrive with strong community backing. However, today, genuine projects suffer collateral damage from conflicts driven by individuals who previously raised significant funds from the community or successfully launched their tokens through influential connections and changing identities. It’s common across the crypto industry for projects to engage advisors and influencers who promote tokens for compensation. This practice also occurs within our community, and while it’s typical and acceptable, we must strive to set a higher standard. In that spirit, if I ever advise or promote a project from which I could personally benefit, I will transparently disclose this to the community. Currently, our priority should be uniting against external pressures—projects that have displaced SHIB from the top 10, influential web3 businesses and infrastructures that overlook Shib and limit our growth, lobbyists gaining exclusive access at events like White House meetings, centralized exchanges that profit significantly from our community without ongoing respect, and even institutions like the Ethereum Foundation or figures like VB, who remain indifferent. Achieving this unity requires empowering our DAO and creating genuine community governance. By adopting decentralized, inclusive decision-making, every Shibizen will have an equal voice, eliminating favoritism and ensuring transparency. The DAO should manage community projects democratically, supporting initiatives that contribute real value, ensuring no genuine project is overlooked (e.g., Shib Tank). Utilizing a quad-token governance structure and adhering to a transparent ethical framework, such as our “Great Canine Code,” we can maintain accountability and prevent misuse of influence. This approach ensures leaders like Shy and LC remain responsible stewards rather than unchecked authorities. Ultimately, the millions of followers these leaders have gained were built through SHIB’s collective strength—not personal influence alone. Let’s unite behind a fair, community-led Shibarium driven by unity, accountability, and genuine democratic governance.
WOOF@woofswap

Anyone can build anything on Shibarium—every developer starts on equal footing. But when @ShytoshiKusama and @shibtoken endorse and heavily promote one project, while other Shibarium projects don’t get the same level of spotlight, that’s a problem in itself. They’re prioritizing their own projects over the broader Shibarium ecosystem. That’s already an uneven playing field. I’m not here to attack anyone, but when they add unfair mechanics—like accepting only ETH and SOL for payments— to an already unbalanced game, I have to push back. If I don’t speak out, my only other option is to walk away from the game entirely.

@lucagta_it You are right. All BONEs treated as wrapped bone only on shibarium so its wbone <> shib.

@atul_agrr So you mean SHIB <> WBONE pair here right? Not SHIB <> BONE, since it's on Shibarium

So, quick heads up, the BONE<>SHIB pair on ShibaSwap (both V1 and V2) on Shibarium needs more liquidity! Every time the burn kicks off, it tries to swap BONE for SHIB here, but sometimes fails ‘cause there just isn’t enough liquidity. If you’re looking for ways to earn, providing to this pool could really pay off! Since the burn keeps swapping BONE<>SHIB, there’s solid activity here. Oh, and since both tokens are at the heart of Shibarium, supporting this pool means you’re helping the entire ecosystem 🙌 By the way, more liquidity = smoother burns, more rewards for LPs. Just something to think about 👀💡 Here is the link: ShibTorch: shib.io/shibarium/burn Shibaswap: shibaswap.com

Hey, good question! So, when you provide liquidity to the BONE<>SHIB pool on ShibaSwap (V1 or V2), you get a share of the swap fees from all the trades happening in that pool. That means every time people swap BONE and SHIB—especially during burns—you’re earning a cut of those fees. Oh, and besides fees, sometimes there are extra incentives or rewards from the platform (depending on current promotions or campaigns), but the main consistent benefit is those trading fees. Basically: more volume = more rewards for LPs! 🙌 Hope that clears it up! If you need details on the current APY or rewards, you can always check directly on shibaswap.com and also the shibaswap docs: docs.shib.io/shibaswap/gett…
