I've contacted the creator behind Half-Life 2 webport (@slqntdev) and it turns out his work is based on Portal webport made by Weliveinhell, which is also fully playable in a browser, just open the site and play!

@gabefollower @slqntdev The gang of youngsters from webport.ing didn't create a single port themselves. They take ready-made projects from GitHub and pass them off as their own. That’s what happened with our GTA VC web port—reVCdos. They went to great lengths to strip out our copyright nots

@gabefollower @gabefollower Slqnt isn't the creator of this port. It was already on GitHub two years ago. Valve issued DMCA takedowns against it several times, but people managed to copy the source code. And this is just a demo that ends without even leaving the train station
