Taiwan, China, South Korea and other countries systems requires migrants to report to police within 24 hours of international travel and re-register any address changes. I also underwent qualification authentication, police clearance, and medical screening. This raises an important question: How do we track migrants in South Africa? Do we know where they live or what they do? Why can't we implement similar accountability measures, mandatory reporting for international travel, address registration updates, and rigorous vetting processes including qualification verification, police clearance, and medical tests? A transparent, well-documented migration system strengthens both security and integration.
