A boy went to a restaurant to eat, and while looking at the menu, a question suddenly came to his mind.
Half Rice – ₹50
Full Rice – ₹100
He started wondering,
“If the price is exactly double, is the quantity really double too?”
Curious to find out, he ordered 2 Half Rice plates and 1 Full Rice plate.
But instead of eating there, he got everything packed and took it home. 😄
Once home, he decided to do a proper comparison.
First, he placed the 2 Half Rice packets on a weighing machine.
The weight came out to around 880 grams.
Then he weighed the Full Rice packet.
Its weight was around 720 grams.
At first, he thought the machine might be wrong, so he checked again…
But the result was almost the same. 😅
Then he did the math —
2 Half Rice = ₹100 → around 880g
1 Full Rice = ₹100 → around 720g
Which meant that paying the same ₹100 for two half plates actually gave him more quantity than one full plate.
He laughed and said,
“Good thing I packed it instead of eating there… otherwise I would’ve never discovered this!” 😂
That day, he realized that sometimes a little calculation at home can turn out to be more interesting than the meal itself.
Have you ever brought food home and checked its actual weight or quantity? 🤔
