Cole Swindell on being inspired by Charlie Kirk:
"A man was assassinated for believing how I believe, except that he was a little more bold about it.
It made me look in the mirror: someone that's living like I should be living and spreading the Word as a Christian, what I should be doing with the platform that I have.
There's a whole lot of us that are just fed up with feeling like we can't say how we believe.
I'm a loving person, I'm not judgmental, I kinda say out of the way & do my own thing and try to be good to people.
That's just not good enough anymore."

When I played for legendary Steelers Coach Chuck Noll he always told us football was our job but it couldn’t be our life’s work. Here in Romans 15 Paul has talked of helping other people, encouraging them and building them up. He did a great job of that but in vs 15 he begins to describe his real purpose in life. He says he wanted to remind them of the things they knew about God & His Grace. He wanted to confirm that God is our source of hope who will bring us true joy and peace.
But then he tells us what has really been the driving force in his life. In Vs 20 he says he’s always wanted to tell people who had never heard about Jesus the Good News of Salvation. He wanted God to use him any way possible to help people find Christ and the way to heaven.
This is an awesome testimony and something we as Christians should emulate. If we really believe we are blessed and we have the key to eternal life we should want to share that Good News with everyone.

In the first section of Romans 10 Paul told us how to come back into fellowship with God & be saved-by confessing our belief in Jesus. Now in vs 11-17 he tells us 2 more important things. First this promise is for everyone. Nationality, social status, past history doesn’t matter.
Secondly, people need help understanding this and God uses those who have gotten the message to help others who need to get it. Vs 14 says we can’t be saved without believing in Jesus. And people won’t believe in Jesus if they’ve never heard the truth about Him. So when we do come to that saving knowledge of Jesus and our lives change for the better because of that relationship, we need to tell people. That’s how other people will find out.
But the question is how do we tell people? You’ve got good news and you want to share it. But you don’t want to come across as judgmental or a religious nut. However, if Jesus has changed your life for the better you surely want to share that with people you care about.
I think the best thing you can do is just be honest and tell your personal story. This is how I found Jesus, this is why I needed Him, and this is what the impact has been in my life. And then let people see if what you’re saying is reflected in how you’re living. We have to keep in mind that our goal is to HELP people by sharing the good news that we have received.

Paul’s point in Rom 8:7-16 was that by uniting with Christ we now have the power through the Holy Spirit to win our battle with sin. But in vs 17 he says that if we share in Christ’s glory we must also share in His suffering. While we’re here on earth things won’t always be smooth and easy. The results of our sin will decay our bodies. That will be painful.
And when we choose to stand with Jesus we’ll be attacked just like He was. There will be pain from persecution.
But Paul says this temporary pain and suffering will be more than worth it when we get the eternal rewards that come from being united with Jesus. It will start with a new home. We’ll be in the perfection of heaven rather than in this challenging environment on earth. And we’ll have new bodies. Perfect bodies that will last forever with no sickness or pain.
That glory is coming. We just have to be patient and wait for it!

Dear VP Harris: I hear you make this statement all the time. Exactly what “faith” are you talking about when you say you don’t have to abandon it to support abortion? Are you talking about the Christian faith that says all babies are made in the image of God (Gen 1:26), that God places them in the womb (Jer 1:5) and that we should not take any life unjustly (Luke 18:20)? Are you talking about that faith or some nebulous, general “faith” that says we’re good enough, and smart enough to make our own decisions? What “faith” are you talking about?
Kamala Harris@KamalaHarris
One does not have to abandon their faith or deeply held beliefs to agree: The government, and certainly Donald Trump, should not be telling a woman what to do with her body.
