@Mangaminx anime is also not a single genre or show. There‘s definitely some right wing anime out there, but personally I would describe the majority as none political. Even if it has some message you could describe as progressive, it‘s mostly „let‘s not bully people“

I hate to say this as a pretty left leaning person who loves anime:- but the people who I often come across being "anime is all gross , disgusting cp and we need to force Japan to change everything about it" are not the right wing anime "chuds", its people from the left who then block me for not agreeing with them on this one thing.

@nijiironee also yes, I know that most streamers a fake and only act out an online persona, but still. Anime characters playing a game is just uncanny valley, especially since I know it‘s just a real human behind it (maybe not even anymore with AI, but that‘s another problem)

@nijiironee Ah so I‘m not the only one? Hate is a way too strong word, but I never really understood the hype around it. If I want to watch a stream I want to hear and see the streamer and their opinions, I don‘t want to watch someone act like an anime character.

A biophysics grad was just detained under BC's Mental Health Act. All based on a psychiatrist's opinion after observing him in a cafe. He looked at him & said “I’m certifying you” THAT’S ALL IT TOOK. No warrant. No on scene evaluation. No psych evaluation. No paperwork shown. No chance to comply voluntarily. Just because a psychiatrist saw him in a cafe. Meanwhile, the same city has a documented drug addicts, where one person, has been apprehended 79 times and is still on the street. The government can grab a credentialed researcher off the road in 20 minutes but it can't keep a chronic offender out of the same intersection for more than a week? What a joke.

Half our country is Catholic. The free Sunday is rooted in religion, and frankly, this is such a weird thing to lose your mind over. Most stores have no stocking problems like you claimed either. You have to be a total slob to be so inconvenienced by it that you rage about it.

Shops being closed in Germany on “one day only” Sunday means shelves are already empty Saturday noon, still not restocked on Monday, leaving you only 4 days a week to actually do your grocery shopping. It absolutely ruins Saturday for everyone and affects at least 3 more days around it (2nd order effects). Anyone defending this system is an idiot.

For decades, those of us speaking about the harms caused by taking and coming off psychiatric drugs have been ignored, denied or dismissed. I’ve been labeled everything from “antipsychiatry,” “anti-science,” and “Scientologist,” to “right-wing fascist” and “anti-vax,” to simply “too mentally ill” to understand what was happening to me. Now the APA’s own annual meeting is full of panels on deprescribing, overmedication, withdrawal, and psychiatrists openly admitting they regret not helping patients come off these drugs sooner. The hundreds of thousands of personal stories of psychiatric iatrogenesis have become impossible to keep waving away as meaningless anecdotes. I have deep compassion for how hard it must be to face the possibility that you’ve been inadvertently causing harm to patients you’ve been trying to help. But fear is the master distorter of truth, and the only way out is through. We are eager to build a big-tent coalition to begin work on these changes we all know are necessary. I hope you’ll join us.

This is peak Japanese hypocrisy. They demand every foreign tourist in Japan obey invisible local scripts perfectly, or be filmed, shamed, and turned into “迷惑系” content. But when Japanese tourists go abroad? Japanese tourists caught vandalizing trains in Bangkok Publicly exposing their genitals on the Great Wall of China. Raping underage girls in Southeast Asia. Japanese women are banned from entering the country due to overseas prostitution. Suddenly it’s not “national character.” Suddenly it’s not “respect local culture.” Suddenly it’s just “individual cases.” So let’s be clear: If foreigners must respect Japan, then Japanese tourists must respect other countries too. You don’t get to export humiliation, exploitation, and bad behavior across Asia, then cry “manners” when a Chinese tourist dances outside Lawson at 5 a.m. with no crowd, no victim, and no obstruction. Japan doesn’t have a foreigner problem. It has a hypocrisy problem.

If only you knew everything... I could read a whole book 😭 but yeah, he's not what people think... I just didn't want to make any video myself or anything with all the proofs I have so twister helped me out with that years ago... It's been 4 years so I'm not afraid to show stuff. He literally said in his stream "she's a liar, we never talked about uncharted 4 or that I could buy any game to spend time with her, she's lying... I'll destroy her ass!!" That day when he said that I was playing CTR nitro online and he didn't stop flirting on me... He ignored me for weeks then he randomly asked for Rachel leaks ( i had all the leaks before they came out and also I was the only one who got the DLC a week earlier than everyone else ) So... yeah it's a lot lol

Keep in mind too that some of the animators who worked on Clannad were murdered by arson in 2019 - the legacy of this show, as well as many other KyoAni works, is so important to those left for that exact reason.
