Spent an hour with @NikeZames yesterday. 100+ OTC deals closed. @SpaceX, @AnthropicAI, @OpenAI secondaries. I asked: why is private capital still this broken? His answer: every broker fights every other broker for the same clients. Nobody shares inventory. The whole market runs on Telegram group chats and PDFs. Billion-dollar positions moving through messages that disappear. He is building @holderxhouse. Not another desk. Software that connects all the desks. Brokers keep their clients, keep their deals. When they need liquidity they cannot find alone, the system matches it. Built on @CantonNetwork, not @ethereum or @solana. JP Morgan, DTCC and Nasdaq are already on it. TradFi infrastructure designed for private transactions. His take: "DeFi trying to sell to TradFi never worked. Not a single successful case." Canton is the reverse. TradFi building digital infrastructure on its own terms. I asked what crypto lesson he learned too late. "Do not try to be a trader just because you work in crypto." I agree. A retail trader has worse odds than a casino gambler. The data is clear. If you are in crypto to trade, you are in the casino. If you are building infrastructure, you are in a different industry. That split is happening right now.
