If President Trump simply pulls out of the war, he will have crippled and set back the regime, but he won't have fixed the underlying problem. They will rebuild and barrel towards a nuclear weapon. They will oppress Iranians even more. Terrorism will increase. The idea that this regime will simply take the loss and change its behaviour is nonsense.
