@Bob_Stauffer back on July 24th of last year I called your show pleading the oilers attempt to sign Carter Hart. Who knows if he ever would have come here, but an effort could have been made. Meanwhile the oilers have been off for a month while hart is backstopping VGk to a final

Kelly Mcrimmon does things that are outside of the old boys hockey norm and that's why they have had the success they have from the beginning.

@expomick @PBerce VGK are in this position (with a banner already) because their organizational philosophy is only about winning. Sign Carter hart when other teams wouldn't. Letting players walk in free agency instead of "while he's been a good solider for us".

@expomick @PBerce mick, John cooper is regarded as one of the best coaches in the league.. I feel most coaches wouldn't survive 4 straight first round exits as a perennial "contender". Do you think there is a move there? May be a mutual thing.. just a hopeful oilers fan..

@expomick that last caller was bang on about the oilers. Unfortunately management has bled assets over the last 10 years. They have nothing to trade as far as picks and prospects. They have one more year of McDavid, after that they have to trade him to recoup said assets

@expomick it's better lose now and rest than last another few weeks. This team was never winning a cup. Hoping Cassidy is in there next season. Lots of analytical stats start to drop off since Knoblauch took over.

@expomick though it's tough to see the oilers go out like that, it's for the best. They have played a boat load of hockey the last 4 years. I've been saying all year Knoblauch is not the right coach for this team. They looked slow and disorganized all year.
