Why does Pi use 7 decimal places? It’s really simple. Pi inherited its technical features from Stellar. Since Stellar uses 7 decimal (stroop) places, Pi naturally has the same setup. This doesn't mean Pi is magically special. Actually, this is just how all normal blockchains work. Let's look at other coins. Ripple uses 6 decimal places called 'Drops'. Bitcoin uses 8 places called 'Satoshis'. Dogecoin uses 8, just like Bitcoin. Ethereum uses 18 places called 'Wei'. Polygon uses 18, just like Ethereum. Solana uses 9. .. So guys, there's no need to go crazy over this 7-digit thing. We don't need to give it any special meaning, and let's not try to connect it to the math number 314159 usd. It's just basic blockchain tech, nothing more. I really support Pi, but I don't want to support it in an immature or misguided way.
