At the Nibbies I met the lovely Christian from @Usborne, and told him how much I loved Escape From Blood Castle. This morning a package of classic Usborne puzzle books turned up, along with some new ones, and a letter from Blood Castle author/genius Jenny Tyler herself! 🤩

Not coming at this in a prudish way (on the contrary, I think there's something v interesting in combining Fantasy in a generic sense with Fantasy in a psycho-sexual sense of the word) -- but was this book a big deal? It's not a household name I think, unlike “50 Shades of Grey”

I'm supposed to be wrapping-up my "History of Fantasy" this month: am reading a few 21stC titles that got past me. What do we think of this? Is it a "significant" Fantasy title? Worth including?
