@nineofscans The second one is good for me. Personally, I've seen it a lot translated that way in anime and manga and I like it. But that's just my personal opinion. Your original translation is good too!

@IsSarcasmIronic it’s not really that vague. [貴方の事が] 好きです is far and away the most common way to finish that sentence and it’s absolutely what asagiri was implying. even if it’s More vague in the jp, you’d be sacrificing readability in the eng if you tried to maintain that exactly as is

@nineofscans i dont speak japanese but wouldnt “i…i’ve been thinking…” give the same vague thing & still have your interpreted subtext because ppl often start confessions that way

Holy shit I just looked at the raws 😭😭 it’s literally so vague I have no idea why they would choose to interpret it that way
She says “watashi…anata no koto ga…”
Which literally translates to “I…about your *something*” the kanji that’s used is so vague

The Kyouka and Atsushi panel... she isn't exactly saying that. Though that is one way to interpret it, the original dialogue is way more vague and can be just anything. Thats why sometimes I recommend reading the original version if you can.
