#NingboLibrary's Yongfeng Branch finished a month-long renovation based on reader feedback. Improvements included LED lighting in the reading room, redesigned restrooms with better privacy and ventilation, new flooring, and elevator overhaul.

#NingboChildrenLibrary framed its year through 2025 buzzwords: Robot "Mobo" and smart stacks demonstrated embodied AI, 1M visits/1.6M circulations showed resilience, and a thousand events accompanied growth from toddler to teen.

On #WorldChildrensDay, the Ningbo Children's Library brought a "Reading Gift Pack" to Ningbo Rehabilitation Hospital. They set up "#LittleHarborreadingcorners with 550 picture books in hospital classrooms to provide easy access for children.

On November 30th, the 700th special event of "Tianyi Night Reading," themed "Setting Sail from the Great Port," was held at the China Port Museum in Ningbo. The event marked a new journey for this reading brand, which has run for 700 days since January 1, 2024.

From October 31 to November 26, #Ningbolibrary presents an immersive themed interactive activity called "Reading Prescription," transforming books into "medicine" and reading into "therapy"—a heartwarming experiment in self-awareness and inner renewal. @IFLA

On October 31,2025, the "Bookish Ningbo Day" series of activities, organized by #Ningbolibrary, officially launched under the theme "Reading: Mind, Body and Future." 10 public libraries across the city present over 200 diverse reading promotion activities.

The "2025 Advanced Training Program on Public Library Service and Innovation & Ningbo Public Library Professional Skills Competition" launched on October 20. Fifteen contestants were awarded, with Tu Huihui from #Ningbolibrary winning first place.

On October 25, the Ningbo Cao Ying Book Club held a special event commemorating the 10th anniversary of Mr. Cao Ying's passing. #Ningbolibrary

According to statistics, during the 2025 #summervacation, the three branches of #NingboLibrary received a total of over 730,000 visits, a year-on-year increase of 3%, setting a historical record. The highest single-day attendance even exceeded 15,000 visits.

On the evening of September 5, the ninth edition of the "Yongcheng City+" cultural tourism salon was held at the Yongfeng Branch of #NingboLibrary. Titled "Dongqian Lake: Historical Genes, the Cultural Code of a Millennia-Old Lake Charm" .

#NingboLibrary was invited to the 89th IFLA World Library and Information Conference: The "Listen to the Sound of Books" project which won the third place in the 2025 IFLA International Marketing Award makes its mark on the international stage. @IFLA

The "Technology @ Future — 2025 Ningbo and International Sister Cities Children's Art Exhibition" shows a world of boundless creativity and imagination in Ningbo children's Library with 185 outstanding artworks from children.

On July 8, 2024, the Ningbo Children's Library was officially launched. Over the past year, the library has received over 1 million visitors, circulated 1.5 million books, held more than 600 events, and engaged 1.1 million people online and offline.

Since April 23 (World Book Day), Ningbo's public libraries have upgraded services: loan limits increased to 30 books per card. The "#PackingtheLibrary" initiative boosted circulation by 5% (860,000 books in a month). Top 10 readers won limited-edition signed books.

On June 6, #NingboLibrary hosted a salon titled "The Poles: A Mind-Bending Adventure," where Bi Jianhong, a travel expert, guided attendees on a virtual exploration of Earth’s frozen frontiers.
