If there are any D2 creators feeling lost on what's next, I highly encourage you to pursue variety through youtube videos.
I've always been a big pusher for building a youtube alongside your stream community, especially given that there are roughly 200 youtube viewers for every 1 twitch viewer. The scope of youtube is way bigger than you think
Not only that, but all your content on youtube lives forever and will continue to generate views and revenue given that whatever videos you upload aren't time-sensitive
We've been fortunate enough over the years in that D2 creators on twitch have insanely high sub count numbers comparatively to any other game, but with the news obviously people will continue to tune out of D2 until a D3/destiny game comes out in the future

Destiny has one final update. Soon I will have cheesed my last cheese it seems? Unless. But what happened with the new story line and stuff? And didn't Sony want to make a Destiny show/movie? And will Bungie be shutdown or D3 be in development? Very sad day with many questions

Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to. We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us. Very bittersweet to see this, I wasn’t expecting it this early and I imagined we would get another Raid, but on the other end excited to see what the future holds. Help me with the wording here, does it say they are done with the Destiny universe as a whole or just D2?

Even though this should have happened after The Final Shape, Destiny 2 is officially done.
This will surely be a tough pill to swallow for many. The reality is: it was inevitable. Nothing great lasts forever.
Just remember all the good that D2 brought you. Celebrate that.

Bungie should have called it after The Final Shape and ended the saga on a high. Everything since has been dire and now a 12-year era comes to an end in a bittersweet way.
I hope Destiny 3 is in early development, this franchise deserves better than being abandoned for Marathon.

With over 4000 hours in Destiny, it was my life before and during my time at Bungie. It was the game Chew and I played hiding away from people at our wedding, made lifelong friends, and got to work alongside some real incredible people that made the tougher parts of the job completely worth it.
Thank you for the memories and for the gifts I’ll cherish for a lifetime 🫶
