Contacted the Electronic Frontier Foundation (@EFF) and @AccessNow to raise the alarm about the social media blackout in #Mauritius.

There is no social unrest in #Mauritius, no riot, no fights among people due to the general elections. Despite this, the government through the ICT Authority instructed all ISPs to block all social media platforms in the country until the general elections are over. @accessnow

Access to corporate services like Meta Workplace has also been restricted under the banner of "National Security." Students who rely on YouTube for exam preparation are likewise affected—all in the name of National Security. Bon courage ! #Mauritius
