Manager: Oh, where are you at? Your video doesn't seem to be working. Employee: Oh, my camera is off. That's why. Manager: Great, let's go ahead and get that on. Employee: I prefer my camera to stay off for this meeting. Manager: Well, my camera is on, so go ahead and turn yours on as well. Employee: I'm happy to proceed with my camera off today. And moving forward why don't we include in the meeting invite should cameras on be mandatory? Manager: As this is a work meeting and you are at work right now, you should have no reason to need your camera off. Employee: Does my video being on impact the productivity or outcome of our call? The repair cost was $500, and HR told her they would deduct it from her salary. She was shocked, so she replied that she would file a complaint, but HR simply responded, “Well, Catherine, you should take responsibility. We’re not a charity here!” She wasn’t going to let them deduct her salary, so she shouted, “The company owns the machine, so why should I pay for it?” HR just smiled, nodded, and said the issue was solved: she would not have to pay after all. She thought that was the end of it, but the next day, all the employees were stunned when they got an email from HR:↓↓↓

Tom has been working at this company for 10 years. A few days ago, during a lunch break chat, his junior colleague accidentally revealed her salary: she earns 35% more than he does. What made Tom furious was that she had only been there for 3 years, and he had spent months training her. Tom is, without a doubt, more productive and faster. He confronted HR immediately. Instead of an explanation, he got a threat. She said, “Salaries are confidential. Sharing this information can get you fired!” He just smiled and went back to his desk. The next day↓↓↓
