You may stay with your opinion in what should we eat ideally but a vast majority of population in our world eats grains as their main food. Processes may be defined and refined but food availability, habitat and culture have their own limitations geographically, hence was the term living in a laboratory. I must also specify that I represent the vegetarian world. You may kindly read my submissions accordingly which might make sense now 🙏🏻

There is remarkably little sugar in your blood ONLY ONE TEASPOON of glucose in your entire bloodstream!! This is why small amounts of carbohydrates put blood sugar up so much if you have T2 Diabetes where insulin is not working properly @CampbellMurdoch I think you gave me this slide 🙏

There you are Sir. These cannot be taken in an isolated from. Anything you eat will have a certain amount of Carb, protein and fats in it. In principle yes we can have all our glucose requirements from Fats and Proteins but then we are not living under laboratory conditions. Right? So the body digestive system will always have this embedded carbohydrates containing cereals and pulses in a vegetarian world as a challenge. The best way to maintain motility of digestive track, availability of microbes in our gut is to have some amount of positive millets every day i.e. Barnyard, Browntop, Kodo, Little and Foxtail which have 8 to 12% fiber and the carbs entangled in them. These are low GI low GL food which if fermented give you lot of friendly microbes for your guts. If you wish to know more about research done by Dr Khadar Vali in India, I can provide you with literature on one to one basis. 🙏🏻

You eat them. Your body will work very hard to store fat. Storing fat is evolutionary target. Person with 5% body fat, which is very rare and very few manage to get there, has enough fat to produce enough serum glucose. Again, where are you going with this? There is no need for exogenous glucose.

@RickyAudet @lowcarbGP Actually I had posted this process picture to highlight the role of Glucagon which unfortunately no one talks about. I am not an expert. I am sure some experts may validate your statement.

@nitienk @lowcarbGP Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the insulin step 3 is incorrect. The liver uses GLUT2, which is insulin INdependent. The action of insulin here is to downregulate glycogenolysis or gluconeogenesis. It is the myocytes and adipocytes that clear glucose via insulin signaling.

Ah I’m glad you mentioned our ‘daily sugar requirement’ WE NEED about 130 grams of glucose per day for vital functions ALL OF THIS CAN BE MADE BY US FROM FATS OR PROTEIN, ITS CALLED GLUCONEOGENESIS 👍It explains why we don’t die if we fast !

@lowcarbGP @DrBPHealth @CampbellMurdoch @KenDBerryMD @rcgp @lowcarb_aus @thelowcarb_rd @drjasonfung @SBakerMD @bigfatsurprise @OfficialADSOrg @DiabetesUK What about daily sugar consumption level per day on an average in an adult man or woman ? Our daily sugar consumption should actually be proportional to requirement per day and not the average levels available in blood. This information needs to be studied in this correlation. 🙏🏻

Absolutely. And here comes the role of the long distance cousin of Insulin called Glucagon, that is secreted by Alpha cells of Pancreas. One thing that no one is talking about is the fact that Liver processes stored extra material and extra material may not be available in a healthy body.
