Cool Runnings hits hard to this day! "The driver has to work harder than anyone. He's the first to show up, and the last to leave. When his buddies are all out drinking beer, he's up in his room studying pictures of turns. You see, a driver must remain focused one hundred percent at all times. Not only is he responsible for knowing every inch of every course he races, he's also responsible for the lives of the other men in the sled. Now do you want that responsibility?"

Whenever you feel stuck, in a rut, hopeless, or something similar, remember that there is always an option. All you have to do to eventually find it is continue taking action and be thankful along the way.

Replace ‘I want to have / be / do’ with ‘I have the opportunity to have / be / do.’ Opportunity is created by dreaming big + having 100% belief you will achieve + taking action …

“I’ll Get to it Later on” is a Luxury One of the top reasons that folks delay action is that they convince themselves that they will “get to it later on.” Having this mindset is dangerous since it allows one to accept postponing their actions. The reality is that when you accept continuously postponing the actions needed to achieve your vision, you’ll likely never end up achieving it. You might wake up 10 years later and ask yourself where the time went, likely regretting not taking those actions. Here are some ways to ensure you don’t fall into this mindset and start today: 1) Reverse Visualization: Visualize yourself 10 years from now, still in the exact same situation you are in right now, and that action is still delayed. Reflect on how that would feel. 2) Don’t Wait for a Life Event to Occur: Oftentimes, a significant life event has to occur for us to start taking action to achieve our dream. Unfortunately, this life event is typically negative. You don’t have to wait until this happens. 2) Imagine Only Having Six Months to Live: Imagine if you only had six months to live—what are the things you wish you’d done but never got around to?

Expectations are exactly like the moles when you're playing Whac-A-Mole -- swap those moles of expectations for moles of opportunities, and you'll enjoy the game much more and look forward to each new one

It's only when you build your puzzle uniquely that your vision comes to life — fight hard to be unrealistically original.

Never Giving Up in Life's 99% Will Make You Score in Life's 1% The total number of touches in a soccer game are about 6,000. Interestingly, the average soccer player only touches the ball for a total of 1 minute and 20 seconds in a game, and around 40 touches. Essentially, 1% is the amount of time a player has the ball and % of total touches one gets in a game. Additionally, when you actually take a shot, one third of those shots will actually be a shot on goal, and one third those shots will go in if you are lucky. In the other 99% of time, the player is moving during the entire soccer game and doing things like helping their teammates, trying to get into the right positions to touch the ball, playing both offense and defense, etc. This is similar to life. 99% of the time it may feel like you are not actually scoring the ball, and you may think that you are just moving around while nothing is happening. However, never give up as this 99% of the time that you put in will be most important because it will set you up for the 1% of opportunities to touch the ball. Also remember when you do touch the ball, only a few of those shots will be on goal and only a few of those will make it in the goal. Here are some ways to approach life's 99% to score in life's 1%: 1) Focus on the journey - the 99% of your life will be the bulk of your journey, so make sure to enjoy, appreciate and embrace that part 2) Feel that feeling now of scoring that goal - feel how you would when the ball eventually goes into the back of the net, and hold on to that feeling tightly and never let it go 3) Know where you are going - have a clear direction of where you are going, since the majority of the time it will feel like you are just moving and not getting anywhere

The Grass May Look Greener on the Other Side, But What About the Allergies? It is human nature to believe that the grass is much greener on the other side, and on that side, there exists a much better world. It is easy to let your mind wander, thinking of all the great things that exist over there and how much better you would feel. You then continue listing many things on that side, and sooner or later, the grass seems even brighter. Meanwhile, you keep looking at your current side, pointing out what you don’t have. What is very interesting is that we tend to only think about the good things on the greener side. However, what is often overlooked are all the potential not-so-great things that may arise. For example, let’s say the world you’re looking at literally has acres of green grass, and although this may seem great, there could also be many allergies one would suffer from. Remember, the perception you have of the other side is likely influenced by a series of illusions. It is impossible to truly know what it’s like or how it feels on the other side. So, next time you start thinking the grass is greener, always remember how the allergies might feel as well. Here are some ways to remind yourself of this: 1) It’s a double perception – The view of the other side is not a reflection of reality, but rather a mirage shaped by the projections of others, intertwined with your own. 2) Focus on your own direction – Ensure that wherever you want to go is truly where you want to go, so you won’t care about the potential 'allergies' when you get there. 3) Be thankful for where you are – Each day, try to identify at least one thing you’re thankful for, and appreciate where you are right now in life.

Unexpected Closed Doors Lead to Unexpected Open Doors Try not to get hung up on ‘why’ it truly closed. After learning from it, move on and know that the unexpected closed door is all part of the journey, and as a result, an even greater unexpected open door will come about.

Karmic Health The combination of karmic, mental, and physical health can massively improve the true ‘Wealth’ of any person. As we often hear and talk about the concept "Health = Wealth," we typically think of ‘Health’ as being only physical and mental health, both of which are important. For example, when you exercise or meditate, you are essentially contributing to your pot of ‘Wealth’ for your physical and mental health, respectively. Another type of ‘Health’ that is important is “Karmic Health." This term is derived from the concept of Karma, which in its simplest form is the idea that our energy, actions, thoughts, and words to others come back to us in the future somehow. Hence, Karmic Health increases as you genuinely and positively help, influence, impact, and are well-intentioned to others, regardless of the quantity of people. A question that you can yourself: Are my actions, thoughts, words, and energy adding to my pot of wealth or taking away from it? Just as there are ways you can add to your physical and mental pot of wealth, there are ways to add to your karmic pot of wealth. Here are a couple of simple ways to either add or put yourself in a position to easily help you increase your karmic pot of wealth. 1) Try to do one simple good deed per day for another – this could be opening someone’s door, paying for someone's coffee, or sending someone any type of positive message. 2) Try to thank someone every day – this could be as little as thanking someone for letting you cross the street to as big as thanking someone for something very meaningful they have done for you. 3) Gravitate towards optimism – gravitate toward positive ideas, conversations and people who talk positively about things and others.

It’s been shown that an average adult smiles about 20 times a day and laughs about 15 times a day. It’s also been shown that both smiling and laughing increase one’s happiness. May be a solid opportunity to increase one’s happiness by exceeding those numbers on average per day.
