He is 22 and should play more domestic matches. This is partly the reason with all the skills, shot selection is very wrong at times. Melbourne 100 was nice but what happened with BGT, a 3-1 loss. We should have picked a 4th proper bowler than someone with bat avg of low 20s!.

Can you tell me anyone else in the country who is at the level of Nitish who can bat and bowl seam? And he’s 22. You call a 22 year old “bits and pieces” cricketer!? Write him off just like that? The overs bowled by him in different formats FYI : ODI 3 matches - 7 overs T20’s 4 matches - 9 overs 3 wickets at 7.88 eco( 45 avg with the bat) Tests 10 matches - 86 overs - 8 wickets (60 sr) which isn’t bad for a 4th seamer. He got a 100 in Melbourne, which many can only dream. Like you & Me.

@HouldinRus2050 It won't be always be ball that did a lot to be a wicket ball. It was the uncertainty of the pitch and it did a lot. Almost all the players and commentators mentioned it did a lot. Also on a separate note, they could have batted better than this.

Why are no.3s not given a proper run, why are players not brought in from Ranji setup and from when has IPL performance become a benchmark for Test setup. The plan should always be to go for specialists and not part-timers. Even a club game makes a more balanced team.

Just to make Gill captain, they keep giving him opportunities till he succeeds while Ishan, Ruturaj etc are not given any chance. Almost all other cricketing nations have different caption for different formats. The idea is to make one person face of ICT.

There is no doubt whatsoever on his exact role. He is top order batter who can bowl accurate line and lengths offspins. His role is with both bat and ball. With bat, its to stich partnerships and with ball, its to chip in few wickets and bowl defensively.
