Aha! I'm glad someone went there. You're reflecting Paul; Acts 15.29 is more definitive. Some early Christians, like the ones Pliny found in Pontus, seemed to have followed the latter, and Paul implies that others felt this way. But, yes, it's tricky. It's not really a problem today.
