The Boys Finale and Season 5 Thoughts - Homelander deserved better death/last fight (absolutely embarrassing fight with him having V1) - Ryan HAS to be still a supe, the fact no indication of him or hinting he is still a supe is stupid - Soldier Boy no appearance is again stupid - GenV characters absolutely USELESS in the show, literally just in it to drive ppl to Canada? (Marie is strong af) - Starlight vs The Deep was really good - Hughie vs Butcher was great fight - al father death was really funny and good - very disappointed with the way they hyped up season 5 and how they said “every character can die and no one is off limits” - season 5 as a whole seemed rushed, vought rising ad, and complete lies about the promotion of season 5 - sad to see homelander not do anything with destroying different countries and looking over the destroyed earth. literally clickbait to watch season 5 #TheBoys Season 5 Rating: 4.5/10

GG The Boys thank god we still have Invincible

they definitely did something, i was very disappointed that Homelander didnt get to to do anything. they promoted S5 to be a whole destruction and homelander take and vought tower being destroyed blah blah blah yet nothing happened. all lies and S5 ngl its low it’s probably a 3 or 4/10 whole season is dog shit compared to S1-3 and S4 is good

Putting aside that there was absolutely NO payoff to the 5 seasons of build up to Homelander finally going completely scorched earth, the fact that the marketing for this season was literally a complete misdirection doesn't sit well with me at all. No fallen Vought Tower, no Homelander vs. The World, not even the iconic image of Billy walking up the WH lawn with crowbar in hand. Literally none of the "scorched earth" imagery used to promote this season was actually reflective of what happened. I don't just feel disappointed, I feel outright lied to and manipulated.

it definitely has to have some sort of stronger aspect because homelander and bomb sight both easily defended themselves against butcher tentacles, immortal oh yeah but like the fight should’ve been way better and homelander should’ve done more chaos to the world like shown on the promotional art. plus genv characters absolute pointless and marie deserved better
