I’m happy the borders are almost reopening but it really sucks for those of us who cannot work from home. A long weekend to Brisbane to see my family, who I haven’t seen in 2 years, will cost me an extra 7 days leave in home isolation. Would have liked 3 days or none at all!

@southstarbrew @timnicholas @KyleDChurch I don’t really see it as a change at all. That’s what we’ve been doing in Northland this whole bloody time. Wear your mask unless seated is what is generally accepted as the norm here. It’s not hard. You get used to it. It might save a life. Win.

@timnicholas @KyleDChurch Seems to me this isn't really a change apart from the move from recommendation to a firm rule. I understand what you are saying re harm reduction however in practice it feels pretty pointless at the coal face.

If health advice says its... like 'bad'? to have no masks inside at hospo, to the extent they must be worn, then what HAPPENS WHEN YOU EAT? This is incoherent from a health perspective

Just ordered a tub of electrolyte powder, paracetamol, tinned soup & toilet roll in my online shop like a doomsday prepper after speaking to Sydney based friend who's just been through Omicron and said those things are key.

First ham sandwich of the festive season. Sometimes it really is a stretch associating American Mustard with mustard at all but once you except this as a chunky pickle sauce rather than anything firey, well it's delicious.

@southstarbrew Good. I’m tasked with making sandwiches for the work team outing to the Poor Knights on Friday. Got that to go in my rare beef sandwich (got a slab of sirloin to reverse dear on the bbq!). Hope it works!

I’ve possibly spent more time in the Marvel Universe than this universe during lockdown (my 7 yr old is obsessed and it’s provided awesome escapism) and I’ve just spent the morning messily sobbing through Infinity Wars. So, yeah, I’ve reached that point of lockdown.
