@NicoPerrino Here's the speech Trump has enabled. Hate speech, directed at racial minorities and immigrants. It's made bigotry OK again. That's what MAGA means. Blacks, gays, transgender people, they can say whatever they want about them.

I don't know the answer to Jim's question, but I question his premise that one of Trump's great successes is "enabling free speech."
Consider that he and his administration have:
· signed an executive order purporting to ban flag burning and punishing it by up to one year in jail;
· targeted visa holders and lawful permanent residents for deportation based on their speech;
· revoked federal funding from Harvard and other universities and conditioned future funding on adopting speech codes and restricting academic freedom;
· issued executive orders singling out disfavored law firms that effectively made it impossible for them to work with the federal government, its contractors, or even have access to the federal courts;
· repeatedly threatened the licenses of TV networks who hosted late-night comedians and broadcast news reports he didn’t like, including by re-opening frivolous Federal Communications Commission complaints against broadcasters that were previously dismissed as being “fundamentally at odds with the First Amendment”;
· suggested his attorney general, Pam Bondi, should investigate ABC News for “hate speech”;
· banned the Associated Press from the White House press pool because it refused to adopt “Gulf of America” in its editorial standards;
· blatantly directed criminal prosecutions of political opponents, such as former FBI Director James Comey and New York state Attorney General Letitia James;
· pressured app stores to remove lawful apps from their app store offerings.
· and targeted, detained, and even shot citizens who protested or filmed Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents conducting operations in public places.
etc.

@BruceIronsNFL I don't think the fans want it either. The NFL season has turned into a war of attrition.

The players don't want it.
It's not a better product.
It's not reasonable.
They should go back to 16 games. And they should all be on Sunday or Monday.

#Colts owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon would like to see the NFL go to an 18th regular season game, via @JoelAErickson: “I think, as long as the players want it—which I think they would, because it would mean more revenue and, ultimately, a better product—I think it’s reasonable and something we should work toward.” More: indystar.com/story/sports/n…

Charles Barkley risked getting fired on CBS last night, calling out Trump for attacking immigrants: “The way some of these immigrants are getting treated in our country right now is a travesty and a disgrace. What we’re doing to some of these amazing immigrants is really unfortunate and really sad.”

Trump’s DOJ just admitted it used false information to justify HUNDREDS of unauthorized arrests at immigration courts.
These are real people who were arrested, detained, and likely deported under a policy the government now admits had no legal basis.
DHS’s response? They're going to keep doing it.
This is an agency that believes it is above the law, and a president who is perfectly fine with that. It cannot stand.

@ZachHeilprin I'm sure replacement officials will be just as good at ignoring holding on Micah Parsons.

@RioVeradonir @Scaramucci Fair, thanks. When you said "Crack down ", it struck me as punitive, so thank you for clarifying.

Let me tell you exactly what Fox figured out in 1993.
Roger Ailes looked around and asked — who’s the threat?
Not Bill Clinton, the threat is Hillary Clinton.
They spent billions of dollars over decades destroying her narrative.
By the time she ran for president 51% of the country had a negative opinion of her before she said a word on the campaign trail.
That’s the playbook.
Now ask yourself — where’s the threat today? California.
The fourth largest economy in the world. Agriculture, Defense, Hollywood, Silicon Valley, AI. — which is literally the exportation of American culture globally.
A politician coming out of California from the left could beat the right decisively.
So what do you do?
Spend billions destroying the narrative around California.
Make it synonymous with crime and homelessness and radical politics.
Do it for two or three decades until the brand is toxic.
Newsom has an image problem today the exact same way Hillary had an image problem.
It was manufactured. Deliberately. Systematically.

A man with no official title, no confirmed role, and no public accountability allegedly walked into DHS and started running a pay-to-play scheme with BILLION-dollar contracts.
His name is Corey Lewandowski. Multiple companies say they were pressured to pay him or risk losing government contracts. And guess what? Trump knew and did nothing to stop it.

So Netanyahu goads (or blackmails) trump into attacking Iran then goads him into putting boots on the ground, but won’t send his own troops????? Yea naw this isn’t going to work.

NEW — 🇮🇱🇺🇸🇮🇷 Channel 12 says that in case of a U.S. ground operation in Iran, Israeli soldiers will NOT participate on the ground.

@flackospalace This is a poll of conservatives, and it shows what us liberals have been trying to tell yall. The majority of the country thinks liberals and leftists are the same thing. We don’t want to be associated with leftists, we don’t want people to think we are the same.
