I DESPERATELY need AO3 to introduce a safe space for writers where we can share ONLY with the people we want to and lock everyone without access out of the work because it’s no longer a safe platform for writers

@SkylerB97 It’s not just comprehension, some are just hunting for a double meaning or a secret hidden meaning in everything they read. It’s like being direct and honest is not a thing anymore.

I've been on this app too long to act like reading comprehension is just a problem with kids

Il problema vero per questi ragazzi è che: - In casa non parlano italiano. - Guardano la TV del loro paese su internet. - Parlano con parenti ed amici nel paese d'origine con Whatsapp. L'italiano per loro esiste solo a scuola, ecco perché non lo imparano.

@nixiepixie27 @longagnani Io sono nata bilingue. L'italiano è la mia terza lingua. Se fossi stata in una classe separata di "stranieri" (ognuno che parlava la sua lingua, ovviamente) avrei imparato l'italiano in molto più tempo.

@nahasia_ @longagnani Io l’ho considerato, se rileggi. Anche lì, nel tablet si possono bloccare cose inutili e dannose e magari metterci app per l’apprendimento, banalmente le carte con immagini di animali, da abbinare ai nomi e ai versi.

@nixiepixie27 @longagnani Il problema è che si vedono gli stessi ritardi nell'apprendimento anche in bambini italiani cresciuti in scuole con soli (o quasi bambini italiani). Si può anche considerare il fatto che la tecnologia sia un fattore?

@nahasia_ @longagnani Pensa che all’uni di lingue ti fanno il test di ingresso di italiano e delle lezioni mirate se non lo passi, senza buttarti fuori. Se riesci a mettere in paro un adulto ce la fai anche con un bambino, si può fare.

@longagnani @nixiepixie27 Ma anche senza bocciare. Io all'epoca sono stata inserita nella classe di bambini di un anno meno di me. Mi ha permesso di avere un anno per recuperare (nel mio caso solo per una questione di lingua, perché i programmi erano pressoché uguali e ho rifatto cose che già sapevo)

@nahasia_ @longagnani Dagli 0 ai 5 anni però, sono laureata in lingue, il cervello può svilupparsi bilingue, dopo diventa tutto più difficile. Qui si sta dando la colpa sopratutto ai genitori e alla tecnologia, giusto sì ma non ignoriamo il resto per paura di essere chiamati razzisti.

@nixiepixie27 @longagnani No, ma il ritardo di apprendimento dei bambini attualmente è considerato a prescindere dagli stranieri in classe. Si sta parlando di quello Inoltre, i bambini molto piccoli imparano velocemente una lingua nuova proprio stando a contatto. Non è lo stesso apprendimento di un adulto

@nahasia_ @longagnani La colpa è di chi pensa di poter integrare qualcuno senza creare gli strumenti per farlo. Basterebbe creare una classe dove andare 2 ore al giorno a fare lezione di L2. Non puoi fare L1 agli stranieri. È razzismo costruire programmi personalizzati di apprendimento?

@LarthRasna @azsmovingcastle La capacità di deduzione manca anche a quelli che ti hanno risposto, troppo occupati a scovare il razzismo che non c’è. Avere troppi stranieri in classe significa doversi adattare a loro, quindi rimanere indietro insieme a loro.

amica dà ripetizioni a una bimba di 8 anni che a malapena riesce a leggere, così le ha detto di andare in biblioteca a prendere un libro per fare pratica insieme. nessuno si aspetta guerra e pace ma ha portato un libro la cui età consigliata era 3-5 anni e faceva comunque fatica

@nahasia_ @longagnani genitori tentano di cambiare scuola ai figli per questo fenomeno proprio perché non imparano nulla, quindi non credo che il problema sia solo tv, tablet, ecc..

honestly i'm this close to quitting reading for good. every single author i actually love turns out to be problematic or worse. i'm so tired of finding out after i already got attached. feels like i can't enjoy anything anymore without a background check first
