Gun violence in New York State is at its lowest rate on record. Compared to last year: 📉 Shootings are down 26% 📉 Murders are down 12% 📉 Total crime is down 10% The numbers are clear: Our efforts are making New York safer.

@rachbarnhart Thankfully someone is concerned with some of the most vulnerable in our state. Those with special needs. What happens to adult children living with aging parents like my son when we go? The governor is trying to ruin CDPAP and force those with special needs into nursing homes!

Look, if Golisano wanted to quietly write a bunch of checks, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Instead, there was a press conference that centered him and his money and his decisions on where to put that money. So we get to talk about it. And many, many people were uncomfortable because of his stances, because of the fawning media, because of the role of wealth in our society, and because of what notably wasn't on that list.
