Congratulations to Deputy Sheriff Eugene Lamkin on his retirement as of April 1st, 2021. Eugene has 33 years of service with the NL Dept of Justice and Public safety, 13 of which was with the Sheriff's Office. We thank him for his dedicated service and wish him all the best!

All criminal jury trials set to begin in March 2021 will be postponed. Anyone who has received a Jury Summons, does not need to return their summons to the Sheriff's Office, nor has any further obligation for the particular jury selection. Jury Line 1-888-830-5333

Dave was also a 20 plus year Firefighter with the Kippens Volunteer Fire Department. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and colleagues.

The Office of the High Sheriff is saddened with the loss of one of our own. A true leader and gentleman, Sergeant Dave Green passed away suddenly this past weekend doing something he loved.

We offer condolences to Ed Hogan's family, friends, co-workers, and those he represented so fiercely. His leadership, passion and work ethic was second to none. Thank you for the dedication to those you served.

We grieve for the fallen and injured RCMP members in Nova Scotia. Our hearts go out to all members and the families of those affected by this tragedy.
