How Pakistan made the world over 3 trillion dollars richer
On April 7, the world edged toward Trump's 8pm ultimatum that "a whole civilization will die tonight." By mid-afternoon, Polymarket gave less than a 5% chance for a ceasefire. But then in a flurry of last-minute diplomacy led by Pakistan's PM Shehbaz Sharif, ceasefire odds shifted from near-impossibility to 100%, as both U.S. and Iranian leadership publicly acknowledged the important role played by Pakistan.
The sharp shift in probability of ceasefire from near-zero to certainty, allows us to estimate cleanly the market value of Pakistan's successful diplomacy. There was a sharp jump of 2.9% in S&P500 around the ceasefire announcement. The reaction was similar the world over.
Global markets represent about $125T, so a 2.9% jump represents a gain of 3.6 trillion dollars for the world. Pakistan helped create TEN times its own GDP for the world!
For me, the best part is not the trillions of dollar, but seeing Pakistan on the world stage as a peace maker.
I hope Pakistan runs with this new identity by promoting peace not only abroad, but also at home. That means moving away from politics of division and exclusion, and treating every citizen as its own.

Someone wrote to Huzoor-e-Anwar (aa):
Do children who pass away at a young age remain children in Heaven?
And is the door to Heaven opened for parents who lose their child?
Will all children in Heaven be under the care of Prophet Abraham (as)?
Hazrat Khalifatul Masih (aa) provided the following answer:
“Various matters have been mentioned in ahadith regarding children who pass away at a young age, which are, in fact, a source of patience and comfort for parents over this bereavement. Accordingly, Abu Hassan narrates: ‘I said to Hazrat Abu Hurairah (ra), ‘Two of my sons have died. Would you narrate to me any hadith of Allah’s Messengersa by which you may comfort our hearts regarding our deceased?’
“Hazrat Abu Hurairah (ra) replied, ‘Yes, the young children of Muslims are the little fishes [da‘amees] of Paradise. When one of them meets his father or parents, he will take hold of his garment or his hand, just as I have taken hold of the hem of your garment. Then, he will not let go of it until Allah the Almighty admits him and his father or parents into Paradise.’
“The reason these children are referred to as da‘amees, meaning little fishes, is that just as a du‘moos (the singular of da‘amees) refers to one who can slip into any place, these children will roam about freely in Paradise without restriction and they will not be forbidden from going anywhere.
“Just as in this world, no one stops children from going to women who are not mahram, nor does anyone observe purdah from them.
“Regarding children being under the care of Prophet Abraham (as), it is narrated by Hazrat Abu Hurairah (ra) that the Holy Prophet (sa) said that the children of Muslims who pass away before reaching puberty will be in Paradise and Prophet Abraham, peace be upon him, will take care of them.
“Similarly, there is a lengthy narration from Hazrat Samurah bin Jundub (ra) in which the Holy Prophet (sa) related a dream of his, wherein the angels Gabriel and Michael took him on a tour of Hell and Heaven. In it, the Holy Prophet (sa) says, ‘We reached near a lush green garden which had large trees and at its base were an old man and some children. I was told regarding them that this old man is Prophet Abraham, peace be upon him and the children around him are the children of the people.’”

STATEMENT
Following the terrorist attack at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, earlier today, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad stated:
“On behalf of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community worldwide, I condemn in the strongest terms the heinous terrorist attack targeting innocent members of the Jewish community in Australia.
Nothing can ever justify such acts of violence.
Islam upholds the absolute sanctity of human life and declares that the killing of one innocent person is tantamount to killing all of humanity.
Acts of terrorism and hatred are therefore completely contrary to the true teachings of Islam.
As Muslims, our faith requires us to show love, compassion and grace to the people of all faiths and beliefs.
Our heartfelt sympathies are with all those affected by this tragedy, and we pray for the swift recovery of those who have been injured.”
