I recall him initially not knowing she was a minor. And let’s not forget she was 17, which is what should be said instead of just calling her a “minor” because that word is too broad. There’s quite a big difference from a 17 year old, to let’s say a 13 year old. 17 is of course very close to 18, and for all we know she could have been days away from turning 18, which makes the whole situation of everything called him a pedophile that much more insane.
