LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.. IT IS COMMITMENT TIME #PMSLive

TANK'S TAKES: @champmonds ! There was another guy that pulled the trigger within a couple hours of Aidan O'Neil's today on Pat MacAfee's show on ESPN. As you may know, there are states that have good high school football and then there are states that have great high school football. One of those states is Florida. There has been many college players, NFL stars and Pro Football Hall of Famers that all got their start playing high school football in Florida. Meet Champ Monds a 6-3 225lb Quarterback in the 2027 class, out of Vero Beach aka SOUTH FLORIDA!! Which South Florida is year in and year out loaded with talent. He is a candidate for both the US NAVY All-American Game and the Under Armour All-American Game. The Irish beat out those 2 Florida teams that we have rivalries with, the skunkbears, Florida, Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama, Oregon, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Tennessee and the rest of the Who's Who of college football. A LITTLE APPETIZER: Champ reclassified to the 2027 class and was originally in the 2028 class. Originally the 2027 quarterback was going to be Mid 4 Star on Tank's Takes Teddy Jarrard, but he also reclassified to the 2026 class along with High 4 Star Noah Grubbs. STRENGTHS: When you first turn on the tape of Champ he is BUILT!! I mean he is BUILT. He has most definitely spent a lot of time in the sacred and hallowed ground of the weight room at 225lbs. But the first clip on Champ's tape you immediately see this kid has a GUN of a right arm. His arm strength is next level. That football just pops off his hand and gets up and down quick. Even when Champ is on the run he's got the rocket launcher on his football and it's on a rope. There's a clip of him rolling to his left and this is a right handed quarterback and just GUNS that football downfield on the money. He's got quite possibly one of the best right arm's I've seen in the high school ranks. If this was EA Sports College Football or Madden his throw power is 99. Champ has the ability to absolutely throw a fastball between 2 defenders to his receiver. Just incredible. He can change arm angles very easily to get that football around defenders. But Champ is not just a trigger man that wants to throw 99 power. There's quite a few passes of his where he has touch on his football and drops it into the bread basket to his receiver. There's a couple passes of his where he throws a dart to the far hash on the money. The high school hashes are wider than both college and the NFL. To see a kid make that throw which is longer than college or the NFL is just sensational. When Champ is on the move he's got touch on his football and can take some zip off his pass to where the receiver can catch it and get upfield. He shows the ability to lead his receiver open and put that football into his hands in stride. He's got a nice touch in the red zone with a rush in his face. Champ stays poised in the pocket with a rush in his face and uses his feet to buy time to throw the football and has his feet underneath him when he goes to pull the trigger. Champ also goes through his reads before taking off. He's not a 1 read and run guy. Champ's ball placement is just incredible; he can put that football wherever he needs too. He has the ability to read coverages and put that football where it needs to go and makes the right decision. He's got good timing on his short to intermediate throws. Champ can also take off and run with the football and is elusive too. PROJECTION: I have Champ as a High 4 star player. He has quite possibly one of the best arms I've ever seen on a high school quarterback. He has got nice touch on his football, has good footwork in the pocket, a nice understanding of coverages. Along with having the ability to make plays with his feet. This kid has all the traits to be a franchise quarterback for the Irish. picture courtesy of @Hayesfawcett3
