Moves like this are all about if you can add the player at the right price. Norm has weaknesses like most guys who are looking for a home this time of year but he also brings some juice the Pistons need. Defensively they can cover for him, and we know he can get hot in a hurry.

The Pistons are looking to acquire Norman Powell, per @TheSteinLine & @JakeLFischer “Sources say that the Pistons indeed intend to add Powell, who is coming off his first All-Star season, to their list of potential offseason targets as they look to add shooting and playmaking in support of star guard Cade Cunningham.” (Via substack.com/redirect/2/eyJ…)

Since when is a 6’9 wing who plays any role you ask, guards 1–5, shot almost 50% from the field and cares about defense a ‘throw‑in’? lol

Tatum gonna be the best #2 option the nba ever seen

Do people even know why the pistons failed this postseason?

As a former Trae fc member he sadly stinks An incapable off ball player due to size and athleticism deficiencies as a 5’11 guard with zero bounce or strength, so he’s a horrible at the basket, due to shit mechanics and size while also having a low motor and bad habits, can’t/wont be a movement shooter either. So he’s left to be in a primary option/engine role, and while technically over the course of the regular season he is this he has massive draw backs. Again he’s small so there’s reads that as an engine you need to be able to make that he doesn’t/can’t consistently. Needs to play with a good screener+ rim runner combo so he can create high level shots at the rim for himself or others And while those things aren’t the worst thing you remember this guy is one of the worst volume pull up 3P shooters in the sport and has zero in between game besides his inconsistent floater. And then on the other end he’s a horrid defensive player that even on his best of days can only provide passable fifth man abilities. So in the end you’re left with a high turnover, horribly inefficient guard who is a black hole on the other end

BREAKING: Trae Young intends to sign a four-year, approximately $212 million deal to stay with the Washington Wizards, with a player option in Year 4, sources tell ESPN. The four-time NBA All-Star declined his $49M player option for a long-term commitment ahead of free agency.
