@IvySpohnholz Alaska has such high use of guardians- there’s an underlying problem. When people need help with living in the community so often they get their rights limited by an overused giluardianship program instead of basic quality services and housing.

In a letter to the Courts, the Office of Public Advocacy says it can no longer take new guardianship appointments regardless of need. OPA has reached a crisis point with guardian caseloads of 97-100 per person. This is both a humanitarian crisis and a safety issue. #akleg

Since the Golden🦁 won't be ready in time for winter shelter, is @mayor_bronson being proactive about turning it into the Alaska Center for Treatment, which it was purchased for? Now would be the time to put out an RFP. We could have treatment& possibly a Nav center by next fall.

Thanks for coming to my #TedTalk about boobs. Although I have pain from the surgery, I already feel 10 times better without the implants. I do think drs need to slow their rolls and ask BC patients to seriously consider the option of staying flat temporarily (or permanently!).

An update! I’m still in lots of pain - like worse than post childbirth. Going home with 4 drains in my sides. But I am going home! I have a medical bed and walker. There’s a common misconception that you finish breast cancer treatment and are “done.” Nope. A #BreastCancer 🧵.

My therapist had me write letters to people for closure, saying what I felt. They were quite explicit. When I showed up to my next appt w/ copies of them I realized she never intended for me to send them. Ma’am I’ve never been passive aggressive; just aggressive aggressive.
