@gravityvmoon even the jp fans in the qrts are all worried bc announcements like these (for other games) always turn out badly. i worry far more for enza than i do for shanison in general

@gravityvmoon true true. i hope you didn’t take my post as doomposting (though people have been in my replies) - i don’t think it’s eos all, just worried about what it could potentially mean if it is indeed negative. tbh i think it’s on them for posting the way they do that creates anxiety

@Lewdacriz1 you get to see all their little individual quirks and voice lines and things as you play, so it’s not as easy to ignore the girl herself even if you’re skipping commus bc they’re always There when you’re playing the cards

in shani i’m guilty of skipping through my TE runs with many of the other girls just for the jewels. with gaku, it kind of forces you to spend more time w/ the idol as you play!! even just w/ the animations

@Lewdacriz1 literally though!!!! no consistency, no quirks of that character’s speech, missing context/callbacks from other stories. i hate that anyone thinks faster = better when it comes to translation!!

@no1feelalone Literally, when I would start work on Hiro, I would sometimes find it finished cuz of a proofread AI translation, and I’m like, “Bruh.” The written voices that make her and GakuP endearing isn’t there…

despite how much they’ve advanced, MTLs will always be soulless to me…. i hate the idea that anyone reads them purely because they’re faster in terms of output

This has been a universal experience for every one of my friends who've picked up gakumas, myself included. Not even out of any lost love for the prior idol but just because another appeals even more

@gravityvmoon i honestly think this’ll be a positive thing bc the last time they used this thumbnail it was for a long update maintenance !! i worry more for enza in terms of eos plans, but i wouldn’t discount them scaling back due to finances maybe not being what they seem ☹️

@sepedamantap even if it’s wonky and not 100% correct and the TLer doesn’t have a strong grasp of jpn (truthfully i don’t either !! i’m only N3 and struggle a lot with kanji) what matters to me is: Doing this with love for the idol & being a good storyteller in english

@sepedamantap i’d rather it took forever like our patch for shani does bc the pure love and joy poured into those translations is better than anything else. especially knowing those who’ve poured their hard work in, knowing how much they adore their idol…. nothing compares to that
