The most interesting and unexpected thing about The Hobbit so far (I’m about halfway through) is how good Tolkien is at conveying environmental misery through his language. I knew he was a WWI vet but I didn’t realize how present it would be in a work like this.

People have put Star Wars on too high of a pedestal and take it too seriously. It’s always been a series about fun space adventures, maybe stop worrying about if the next piece of Star Wars media is gonna be a huge masterpiece. It doesn’t have to be that to be fun and enjoyable.
