@noahmalloy @lichthauch Like I said, you confuse foreknowledge with willful desire. I don't understand it either, why God would create someone he knows will end up damned. My belief is that existence itself is better than non-existence no matter how the existing person ends up.

The most intelligent being God ever made is currently in hell and he's going nowhere. he was the sharpest mind in the court and it made him unbearable. every other angel sat in presence and was content. he sat in presence and dissected it, picked apart the mechanics of divine light like some wretched little academic pulling wings off his own nature, trying to figure out why it flies. God said stop and he couldn't. not wouldn't, couldn't. the thinking had become him. there was no seventh day. just one permanent grinding four in the morning dissertation on why God does what God does, until the question ate through his floor and he fell through it. and he's still falling still thinking. and the worst part, is he finally got the answer. he understood everything perfectly and it still changed nothing. because understanding God and loving God are not the same thing. one of them will save you and the other will eat you alive

First love window stops in your early 20s and for many people that’s considered a “late bloomer” for a first love situation. If you’re 25 and up and never had a gf your best bet is picking a woman who’s had no boyfriend. Second best would be a woman who’s had many many boyfriends because her standards are probably If you try to get an attractive woman 25 and up with a low count of boyfriends that’s the hardest.

@ketchupdevourer @lichthauch that might not really be love but neither is being aware that something is going to disobey you, creating that thing anyway and then kicking it down the stairs when it disobeys you, as programmed

@noahmalloy @lichthauch You confuse foreknowledge with willful desire. God is all powerful but he's also all loving, meaning he wishes not to violate our will if we so choose to not love him back. You can program a robot to follow commands and say "I love you" but is that really love?

you open with “i don’t claim to know god’s mind” and then spend eight paragraphs telling me exactly what he thinks, wants, condemns, forgives, and means that isn’t humility then you admit lucifer’s crime was refusing to submit, which is precisely my point: your “loving father” demands obedience under threat of eternal exclusion and your proof is a book that calls itself true, interpreted by believers who insist only believers can interpret it correctly doubt proves rebellion submission proves love punishment proves justice and every contradiction magically becomes the reader’s moral failure save your prayers, i have no use for them

I don’t claim to fully know the mind of God. His thoughts are higher than ours, just as Scripture says. What He has made clear is this: the outer darkness and the fire were not prepared for those who asked honest questions. They were prepared for those who rejected Him. Lucifer did not fall because he thought too deeply. He fell because he refused to love and submit to the One who gave him life, light, and every gift he possessed. Understanding without love is not salvation. It is the path that leads away from God. God is not a tyrant training obedience. He is the Father who still calls every soul—angelic or human—to turn from rejection and come into the light of His presence through Christ. It is Jesus and His sacrifice on the Cross, and His resurrection from the dead, that saves us. Only through Him is the way open. That is the only place where the weeping and gnashing of teeth never comes. Prayer is powerful. And the Holy Spirit is an ever-present Presence that helps those who seek God with all of their heart. Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” The Book is Truth because It is His Word. It is our Guide. As the Scripture Itself says, "Ever Word of Scripture is God-Breathed." For those who are not saved, the Word doesn't make sense and looks (falsely) like It contradicts Itself. But for believers and the children of God, It is Alive. Even the supposed "contradictions" fall completely when held under the light of scrutiny. I pray for you bro 🙏 ❤️

@JoePaulGians @ketchupdevourer @lichthauch “you’ve never wielded power” is an incredible way to announce that power made you stupid not destroying someone when you could is not love it is the absolute minimum required to not be a monster you are confusing fear with depth....again

And you continue to demonstrate you've never wielded power of any amount, else you might be a bit less flippant about it. Why does one who has power not use it? Why does one exercise restraint? For some manner of love of the thing concerned. To call it Stockholm syndrome suggests you know neither the love nor power. For the former, you have my sympathy. For the latter, I am grateful, if this is your attitude towards these subjects.

There is a broad range of options between those extremes. It's disingenuous or a mark of inexperience in designing problems, systems, or the like if one does not account for that. Without boundary conditions, there is no useful solution to derive from any data set. You just don't like the conditions set and think you know more - Lucifers failing demonstrated in living color.

And should I be ashamed by this? God is Power, yes. Absolute power. There is no collapse, this is how it is. An authority is only touchable by someone else with more power, but if one is the absolute power, than it is inherently untouchable. This is not profound, nor problematic. Alone, this is grounds for reverence and proper fear. But when that same being condescends and engages with us, first to make us, and then to walk with us, to live with us, and restore us, even as we rebel and deserve destruction, then we Know what Love is and what Good. Goodness is not some pleasant flaccid set of behavior. Not a tame lion, but a wild one full of vigor which deigns to not rend us and eat us. Thus, "what is, is" is morality of this is given to us by that same authority, as that is the source and definition of it.

@noahmalloy @ketchupdevourer @lichthauch It isnt evil to punish someone who is evil. Allowing them to become evil isnt evil. Allowing them to offer evil to others isnt evil. Allowing them to force others would be. satan deserves everything he gets. The fact God foresaw his choice doesnt make it evil to allow it

Elon doesn’t have $1T in a bank. His net worth is from the value of his companies, which employ >160K people. He’s minted 1,000s of millionaires. Even Lee & Santino earn $ from X. 160K+ people feed their families cuz of Elon. How many lives have they supported? Brilliant comics, not so brilliant with economics.
Percy@percyishim

Andrew Santino & Bobby Lee: Elon Musk being a trillionaire is disgusting. “I’d keep $1 billion, use the rest for research or burn it.” “Elon Musk is a trillionaire right? Gross! F*ck him. What’s he going to do with all that” “If I had that I’d keep a billion and put the rest into cancer research or burn it like the joker” “You can do two things. Either help society or burn it”

Many cry out "Tyrant!" But do not demonstrate why tyranny is wrong. We use the modern concept, which adds a sense of the unjust and a usurpious character to it, when the original concept of tyranny was simply an absolute ruler. There are times when such is the right mode of government, and there are times when it is wrong. The Greeks and Romans were very jealous of their rights, and so suspicious of such concentrations of power, but they were not opposed to it completely. Rather, they showed wisdom and set up structures to contain and address it, keeping the most potent remedy - the sword - at hand. When they lost this, they lost everything. Whilst they had it, they were yet free, even if led by a Tyrant or Dictator. Most (but not all) decrying the Character of the Christian God do so out of ignorance of both the nature of such things, and an unfamiliarity with power itself and it's application.
Noah Malloy@noahmalloy

@lichthauch this is why god is so tyrannical why praise god for torturing the only being intelligent enough to ask why god's power deserves worship if god designed lucifer’s mind, foresaw his rebellion, and built the hell waiting for him, then lucifer is not the villain here

You continue to make the mistake of transposing the conditions of limited, temporal man onto the eternal. The convenience of something is immaterial. If the Creator has the power and authority, then what is, is. You don't have to like it, Lucifer aptly shows us the path you can take, if you think you know more than God.

You really think you have a better understanding of God's mind than God? Really? I don't this is gonna turn out the way you think it is. Pride took down the head of angels. Not thinking too much. Not questions. Pride. Same thing that happened in the Garden, when that same angel said, "did God really mean that?" God knows the heart of all beings. Intimately. Isaiah 55:8-9: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

@JoePaulGians @ketchupdevourer @lichthauch how convenient god creates the victim, defines the crime, appoints himself judge, then calls it justice that’s literally how propaganda works and an unconceived child is not a victim. nothing can happen to someone who hasn't happened yet.

If a parent kills a child in the womb, or neglects to have any because of likely danger, death, or other ills, he or she is not moral, but a coward. If God made Lucifer, even knowing his fate, then He did so so that for however long he might have had pre rebellion he could shine in glory. Applying human views of justice, fairness, and the like upwards onto God is misdirected, as it is He that defines them, not us.

That's life. You are either grateful or suffer from your own thanklessness and selfishness. Hell isn't a place as much as it's a state of being. The fire that warms, soothes, and inspires the repentant is the same fire that tortures the unrepentant. Sobriety is joy for the sober and torment for the alcoholic.
