Gambling is everywhere. Every commercial, every sports broadcast, every radio station, every billboard, every bus stop. It’s been normalized to the point where a young person can’t even watch a game without being surrounded by messages telling them to place a bet. Many people believe it’s okay because our idols, celebrities, and professional athletes are promoting it. We look up to these people, so we assume if they’re doing it, it must be safe. It’s not. We need to stop pretending there isn’t a massive problem happening right in front of us. A generation of young men is being introduced to gambling at an age when their brains are still developing, and the consequences are going to be felt for years.

I really think what Polymarket, Kalshi, etc are doing to young men is very, very bad. I don't think it should be illegal. But I do think that in 10-20 years, we will see some major issues with a generation guys who developed gambling addictions at a very young age.

Happy Sunday! God bless each and every one of you. If you’re struggling with anything in life, please don’t hesitate to reach out. If there’s any way I can help, my inbox is always open. No matter how far you’ve fallen or how hopeless things may feel, it’s never too late to turn your life around. Change is possible, one day and one decision at a time. One of the greatest gifts in life is taking back control of it. There is peace in recovery, hope after pain, and joy waiting on the other side of the battles you’re facing. You are loved. You are worthy. Keep going. Have a blessed Sunday. Blaise ❤️

Day 77 without placing a bet. 77 days in and i’m so grateful to be here. Sports are becoming fun to watch again. It was a struggle to watch a game during my first week. One day at a time is key. And if you are a compulsive gambler like me please try out GA meetings! DM’s open!❤️

@nobetnation Day 7 for me my brother from gambling and a nasty daily cannabis habit. I quit on July 4th to symbolize freedom and independence from the addictions that have been holding me back for far too long. Stay strong brother, shoot me a dm if you ever want to talk.

My life revolved around my next bet. Gambling is a disease of isolation. It slowly disconnects you from everyone around you until your entire world becomes a screen and a number that never feels big enough. I became a stranger to the people who loved me, and even worse, I became a stranger to myself. I lost pieces of myself long before I lost all the money. My character disappeared. My honesty disappeared. My ability to be present disappeared. I was physically in the room, but mentally I was always somewhere else, wondering if the next bet would save me. It never did. The addiction didn’t want my money…it wanted my time, my relationships, my peace of mind, and eventually my life. It wasn’t satisfied until I had nothing left to give. Walking away wasn’t giving up. It was the first decision that gave me a chance to live again. If gambling is making you hide, lie, isolate, or believe that one more bet will fix everything, please don’t listen to that voice. It is the voice of a disease that has no finish line. There is a way out, and your life is worth so much more than another wager. Blaise ❤️
