❗️ Seems the reversal has begun for $NOCK @nockchain is a privacy-focused L1 that combines Proof-of-Work security with zero-knowledge proofs. It turns mining into useful work by generating verifiable mathematical proofs that power privacy, scalable apps, ZK rollups, and high-throughput computation. The project has been live and shipping steadily since last May, and in under a year, they’ve already built the world’s largest ZK proving network, generating over 1 BILLION proofs through community-driven GPU power. That was Phase 1. Today they just dropped the official Phase 2 announcement, set to begin in May. TL;DR ➜ Block time drops from about 10 minutes to 2.5 minutes, so about 4× faster settlement and finality. ➜ Difficulty adjustment switches to ASERT, per-block adaptive smoothing, so no more sudden cliffs when miners join or leave. ➜ On the emission side, every block’s total reward budget is now 2,048 NOCK, split 80/20. Miners get a base reward of 1,638 NOCK, 80%. The remaining 410 NOCK, 20%, goes into a multisig-governed protocol fund for ecosystem needs like developer grants, liquidity, proving demand, namespace adoption, etc. Once the upgraded Nock ZKVM launches the new fully useful Proof-of-Work, the fund goes back to miners. In simple terms, daily emissions to miners get cut by roughly 70%, from about 2.95M NOCK per day down to around 943K per day to miners, which means there’s less tokens getting dumped, while the chain runs 3 to 4× faster and the hard cap stays the same. Less daily miner sell pressure = tighter effective inflation = more breathing room for demand-side growth.
