@tomfgoodwin @esthercrawford Perception of risk. They think everyone is listening to clients and being told what they want. If they deviate too far from the perception, it feels risky.

@esthercrawford Why do you think it’s so hard for them to listen to people and innovate around that ?

After walking CES, it’s clear how little separates most products. There’s so much sameness on display. Real innovation, paired with great design, is rare and that coupling is a moat that few can build.

@FinanceDirCFO Or maybe they are still reducing headcount because they over hired during the pandemic and AI is just the excuse.

A smarter move at this point would be to throw all the AI in the bin and keep the humans...

People don’t get that the real genius behind IKEA isn’t the retail experience but the realization that by making stuff fit into easily transported containers , costs plummeted. It’s obsessed not with the design of furniture but flat packing

When did Lego change from bland modular blocks that a kid could make anything from, letting the imagination go wild. To making specific things with only one off pieces , and no creativity Seems like a huge step back

Is it just me or is the design of a baby crib absolutely awful My little one gets his legs stuck between the bars of the crib every night. Properly stuck. It seems rather dangerous and distressing . Apparently anything you fit to solve this is more dangerous? What?

I spy with my little eye something beginning with… CRISIS PR. Funny how predictable these patterns are. And funnier still that the very teams who’ve tried to ‘manage’ me for years are the same types who rush to pull pieces down the moment they become ‘inconvenient’. What’s even richer is that some of these individuals once tried to coerce me into friendships, assuming I’d play along, stay quiet, or forget what I’d seen. They misread me spectacularly. I understand this system and its strategies. I know its pressure points in great depth, its behind-the-scenes choreography, far better than Simon Cowell or anyone around him could ever imagine and I hope that’s haunting. This isn’t a mystery to me. It’s a map I’ve already walked. And while ‘they’ rely on silence, I rely on truth. I’m watching. I’m speaking. I will not be stopped and I will not be silenced. Because when you stand up to someone who has built their world on control, image and narrative, there always comes a moment where the illusion can no longer hold….. #simoncowell #iwillnotbesilenced
