@kafka0nst3er0id @nomadic0_0 The specialty lies in detailed interpretation, if every doctor sat down to interpret and catch every detail on every patients imaging theyd only be able to handle a few patients per day and the system wld be slow af, surgeons read the reports written by the radiologist

@kafka0nst3er0id do perform procedures if required. i know my mother does. she also facilitates patients who would not be able to come to a hospital for a diagnosis/treatment (portable scans etc of the entire body) which most doctors would not do. like yea anyone can do it, but i don't think-
