I just finished thriller bark and I don’t even know the context and the context doesn’t even matter. This isn’t bad writing by any means. Oda isn’t perfect but this is not flawed writing.

@Lisaelizabeth Here in central Maryland, we had an earthquake last year that sounded like an explosion or two. Granted, we are in the Piedmont, not the coastal plain, but something to check for.

So about an hour ago I heard 2 insanely loud explosions, pretty spaced out. They didn’t sound like gunshots and they certainly didn’t sound like fireworks. Apparently all of South Philly called the police. Police went looking around and said it was likely fireworks, but there was no way. People heard it for like a 20 block radius. It shook my house. So I go on the Citizen app and people are saying maybe it was a meteor. I thought that sounded ridiculous until I listened to the sound of a meteor entering the earths atmosphere and that’s what it sounded like! Now I feel like I’m going crazy.

@oncloud_e Actually can we normalize people going out of there way to give trans people a holographic smiley sticker that tells us we are doing a good job. Like the kind the Walmart door greeters used to give out except only for cool gender people

My 18 month old son is TERRIFIED of the vacuum. He HATES it. So before my husband turns it on, I’ll take our son to a different room.
EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The vacuum will turn on, my son will cry, and then immediately run TOWARDS IT to go “save” his daddy. Crying, trembling, yelling, waving his tiny little baby hands at the evil vacuum cleaner that is so much bigger and louder than he is… each and every time.
That’s the “toxic masculinity” they’re trying to stomp out of our boys.
