The 160 year anniversary of the Herald that they're promoting seems..odd. No mention of *why* they were founded in 1863. What was happening in that year?

Could the media stop congratulating Chris Luxon on his 'stratospheric rise'?He is a middle aged white guy who worked in a multi-national corp,he had a free ticket into parliament and the office of PM.We worship his kind in this settler colony.

Chris Hipkins is claiming the gangs do not support him. Senior Mongrel Mob leader Harry Tam’s Labour Party Magical Mystery Tour disproves this. The gangs want him to stay on as PM and they want Labour’s candidates in these areas elected. Four meetings held across Hawke’s Bay!

@cjsbishop So you're all "calm the farm" to your boomer voter base while happily screwing over those of us in our 30s and 40s, and our kids, cool cool cool.

Was this Labour MP confused or just lying when she posted this? Another example of Labour resorting to disinformation to avoid talking about its own record. Chris Hipkins told media yesterday that Labour's been 'very clear' in its messaging when attacking National on this issue.

The National Party holding rallies in South Auckland is sickening. They intend to punish our communities like they did last time. Their enthusiasm and compassion is always performative.

At least the Briscoes lady delivers value to all New Zealanders, Willis does nothing of the sort.

Chris Hipkins clearly spent his 5 days in isolation answering questions from Tamati Coffey and working out if there was any possible way to be even more negative on the campaign trail. Sad to see really. Nothing to run on, no new ideas, just endless negativity.

@SimeonBrownMP I don't want tax relief, I want functioning public services. I can't buy that with the $2.50 a week that your party is proposing to give me.

Labour’s constant attack on National’s tax policy is a daily reminder of how much they hate the idea of people being able to keep more of what they earn. Only a Party Vote for National is a Party Vote for tax relief. #PartyVoteNational

My heart goes out to families struggling with mortgages, learning worse could be ahead as the Reserve Bank forecasts a double-dip recession & interest rates staying higher for longer. Labour’s economic mismanagement has gone on too long. Come October, hope is on in its way.

🧵Labour’s GST policy is a miserly offering that will be worth less than a kumara for families suffering through the cost of living crisis, but will have supermarket owners rubbing their hands with glee.

Labour’s excuses for opposing my parental leave bill are awful. The Dep PM suggested its due to WHO guides saying women should breastfeed for 6 months. Newsflash: not all women can or choose to do that. These are deeply personal choices for families: please stop insulting us.

@NicolaWillisMP How are you doing the 'better public service delivery' with the 'lower income taxes'? I don't want an extra 2 bucks a week,I want properly funded healthcare and education.Back on Track to what? The 1930s?

National will release a fully costed tax and fiscal plan in due course. It will represent a new way forward for NZ: lower income taxes, more disciplined Government spending, better public service delivery and a path out of the cost of living crisis. We will get NZ Back on Track.

🧵We saw the Finance Minister and CTU head Craig Rennie catching up at the Parliament cafe recently, like the old chums and former workmates they are, so had wondered when their next partisan hit-job would come.
