@AppyOrtho As a man and former college athlete, it's not hard to believe. Most walking pneumonia symptoms are very mild and the average person usually thinks it's just allergies/a cold. 99.9% of men and athletes I know aren't going to see a doctor over what they likely believe is a cold.

Kyle Busch was so sick with pneumonia it went septic yet he was fine just days before, racing cars? I don’t understand that.

@CynicalPublius Because you disagree with him? He’s been a comedian for 30 years by training and performance. His Colbert Report was a master class of sarcasm and projection.

I agree with this sentiment. Problem is, Stephen Colbert was never a "comedian." Lenny Bruce. He was a comedian. Don Rickles. He was a comedian. George Carlin. He was a comedian. Jerry Seinfeld. He is a comedian. They were/are comedians because everything and everybody was fair game for clever laughs. Stephen Colbert is an unfunny, unclever doctrinaire propagandist, straight out of central casting from whatever historical totalitarian regime that strikes your fancy: the court jester who never made fun of the court. Stephen Colbert was never a comedian.

@realJeremyCarl No, that’s the difference between network television in 1992 vs the thousands of options available now. The final episode of MASH had 106 million viewers - now, other than Super Bowls, the most watched shows get 13-15 million

When the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson signed off in 1992, 55 Million of America's 250 Million people watched. (More than 1 in 5 Americans) Stephen Colbert's final show drew 6.7 Million out of 342 Million Americans (less than 2%) That's the difference between being an American institution and preaching to a small and dying liberal choir.

@ScotsFyre Testy! He was #1 in the ratings and no 11:30 network show loses money. It was an excuse. A falsehood. A non-truth.

@none1960 I believe what the former management of CBS said. You don’t get to lose money and stay on TV. And it’s before David Ellison took over so shove your bridge up your ass.

@JRVanHoose I firmly believe 50–100 years from now historians will be shaking their collective heads, wondering how America went nuts for eight out of 12 years in the early 2000s

@MitchVingle When I asked my B-I-L why he voted for Trump he told me he liked Trump’s policies and character, morality and leadership took a back seat. I told him I hold any POTUS to a higher standard and that character is paramount - everything flows from that. We now don’t talk politics

Big Ten says 80 different programs would have made College Football Playoff if 24-team format was in place since 2014. If so, then let’s use the late/great Mike Leach’s 64-team model so every program would eventually make the playoffs
