MyAnimeList removed 10/10 votes from JoJo: Steel Ball Run and removed 1/10 votes from Frieren.
Frieren is currently the only show on MAL whose 1/10 scores have been removed.
And JoJo is the only show on MAL whose legitimate 10/10 votes have been removed.

@mihawkenshi @SumireEienNiwa @Okeanix1 You can't rely on an algorithm alone because machines are stupid and there must be humans to monitor their behaviour.
Also you need manual control in general because there is many things that cannot be coded to an algorithm only human can do currently

⚠️ Thousands of users on MyAnimeList reported that they couldn’t log in. The reason was that they were banned for rating Frieren low.
MAL has now reverted the changes and added the removed votes back (they still don’t affect the score), but they are visible in the stats.

@Okeanix1 @OgnirVT Analyzing this huge number of votes and determining which are fake and which are real is an extremely difficult task. Imagine doing this for other anime it would never end. So it seems to me that they decided to focus on correcting the current issue between JoJo and Frieren only.
