Gouws’s situation is not fair because: 1) “Gouws apologised in 2013 for his previous videos out of his own; he wasn’t forced.” In 2013 there was an internal DA complaint registered against Gouws - in 2013 there was Gouws’s apology. The DA also told media that there was an internal DA complaint against Gouws in 2020. 2) “Helen Zille spoke about cancel culture.” She did. Zille also asked Gouws if the video was real and he told her it was AI generated. IMO it’s difficult to protect someone against “cancel culture” when they are not honest with you.
